• The Jaguar was a joint development between the British and French Goverments in 1965, overseen by SEPECAT (Societe Europeenne de Production de l’Avion d’Ecole de Combat et d’Appui Tactique), the first British prototype, S-06 (XW560) was tested in late 1969.
  
• Although still used in parts of the world today (Oman - India) it has been removed from the British and French airforces after the aircraft entered into service in 1974.
