A-Model 72369 1:72 Eclipse-400

Eclipse 400 was an American prototype light airliner which took its maiden flight in 2007. The machine did not enter serial production. The plane was 8.84 meters long with a wingspan of 10.98 meters. The propulsion was provided by a single Pratt and Whitney Canada PW615F jet engine with a thrust of 5.3 kN. The traveling speed was 612 km / h, and the maximum range was estimated at about 2,300 kilometers.

The Eclipse 400 was developed by Eclipse Aerospace as a development of the very successful Eclipse 500 aircraft. Compared to its predecessor, the new machine was smaller, it was supposed to take only 2-3 passengers on board, and it was also powered by only a single jet engine. It was assumed that it would compete on the civilian market with constructions such as Cirrus Visio SF50 or Pipper PA-47. Although the plane took off and did not generate great technical problems, it did not enter mass production due to the bankruptcy of its manufacturer in 2008. The project after 2008 was not continued.
