At the beginning of the 1950s the Soviet swept-wing jet aeroplane formed the backbone of the fighter air forces of the then so called people’s democtratic states and was still in service as a fighter-bomber in the mid-sixties. The MiG-15 first appeared in the air battles during the Korean War and became the true legend among the fighter aircraft. The MiG-15 was an important piece of equipment for many air forces during their entry to the jet age.
